Or you can change your password from inside cPanel:
Step-by-Step Instructions
Log in to cPanel.
Access your cPanel control panel using your current username and password. The URL is typically something like yourdomain.com/cpanel.
Navigate to the Security Section.
On the cPanel home screen, look for a section labeled "Preferences" or "Security". Inside this section, you'll find an icon for "Password & Security". Click on this icon.
Enter Password Details.
You will be taken to the password change interface. You'll need to provide the following information:
Old Password: Enter your current password in this field to verify your identity.
New Password: Type your new, strong password here.
New Password (Again): Retype the new password to confirm it's correct.
Use a Strong Password.
It's highly recommended to use the Password Generator tool provided on the page. This tool automatically creates a complex password that is difficult to guess. A strong password should include a mix of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols.
Save the Changes.
After entering and confirming your new password, click the "Change your Password now!" button at the bottom of the page. You will receive a confirmation message that your password has been successfully updated.
Important Considerations
FTP and Email Clients: When you change your cPanel password, it may also affect the passwords for your main FTP account and any email accounts that use the same login credentials. You will need to update the password in any FTP or email clients (like Outlook or Thunderbird) that were using the old password to connect to your server.
Username: Your cPanel username cannot be changed. This process only updates the password associated with that username.
